 pretty good metadata viewer
It contains some nice features and is easy to use. I am not sure it provides too many advantages over simply viewing the metadata using the original application that created the file.

Most of the information which I could get using that product I got from Word directly, I expected to find something else hidden into the word document somehow.

An Ok start
The MetaViewer is an ok application for what it was designed to do. I really needed it for other features that were not included but if there is some change hopefully in the future they will be. One of the more important things I was looking for was the metadata for each file looked at through MetaViewer (specifically the Creation Date, Modified Date and Accessed Date.) Also the ability to do so without changing the Accessed Date. Finally if the program could also batch capture and export the metadata that would be great.
Thank you for allowing me to evaluate this program.

Nothing to write home about
You can find the information given my MetaViewer by simply using Office features. Pretty useless if you are searching for additional data.

Did not get all metadata from an Office 8.0 Document, in particular the authoring history and PID/GUID info.

The software is not bad at all, but does not give a lot of the additional information which can be found in the files. Basically you do not get much more info than you would get out of viewing file properties within the office apps.

A good easy way of extracting the Meta Data from documents. Easy, simple, intuitive interface ideal for revealing what information is being broadcasts to prospective clients. A must for anyone who is dealing with confidential documents.

Not what I hoped
The program does not do what I had hoped. All it displays is file property information, which I could get directly through Windows Expolorer of the Office program. I was hoping to reveal hidden metadata (hidden text, deleted comments, track chages data, etc). Very dissapointed

Not Terribly Helpful
I was hoping to find a tool that would allow me to view a history of edits. The minutes edited field was quite useful, but the history trace feature was what I needed. The application itself is reasonably intuitive, but I was left asking whether there was more that this did, that was not apparent.

But I am looking for a Metaviewer which could handle muti format (Pctures, audio, docs,...)
